My client offers a wide range of event services from venue and accommodation booking, to conference and exhibitions management across global locations. For the last 20 years, they can pride themselves on being able to understand their clients needs and respond in an imaginative way, pulling together all of their experience to put together a superb solution to any events brief. Working across a range of clients including BT, BP, Honda, Royal Mail and Skoda, they have built up relationships, and totally understand their client’s current and projected event requirements.
Due to a fantastic year so far with the business going from strength to strength they are currently recruiting a number of new positions, one of which is a Client Development Manager to join the sales team. The key focus of the role will be to reactivate lapsed clients as well as working closely with the Sales Director to win new business and then manage those new accounts.
Responsibilities will include:
· Reintroducing the agency to contacts within lapsed clients
· Working with the accounts to develop new business opportunities
· Driving forward a sales strategy for each account
· Working closely with the client event team in-house
· Credential presentations for new clients
You will ideally be from a conference or events background either within an agency or a venue and have strong proactive sales experience. Whilst this is a sales role the onus is very much on developing relationships in order to reap future business. The role is quite autonomous so you must be well organised, targeted and an excellent time manager with the ability to communicate well at every professional level.
