Working as part of an established technical team, you will act as the go-to specialist for video solutions, providing leadership, guidance, and technical assurance across projects requiring advanced video system design. This includes LED, projection, camera workflows, media servers, switching, IP-based video infrastructure, signal distribution, and content playback.While this role is for a Senior Technical Project Manager (Video Lead) and video will be a key focus, this role also requires a strong understanding across all core technical disciplines, including lighting, audio, staging, rigging, and power, ensuring fully integrated and cohesive delivery. As Senior Technical Project Manager (Video Lead), you will play a key role in delivering technically ambitious projects from concept through to completion—developing system designs, content workflows, redundancy strategies, technical documentation, and overseeing on-site delivery through install, live operation, and de-rig.Key Responsibilities:• Lead the technical design and delivery of complex, video-led projects from concept to completion • Act as the subject matter expert for video systems, ensuring robust and scalable solutions • Manage and mentor internal team members and freelance technical specialists • Serve as a senior technical contact for clients, venues, and stakeholders • Conduct detailed venue assessments and develop tailored technical solutions • Produce detailed technical documentation, including CAD drawings, schematics, and system designs • Oversee on-site technical delivery, acting as the senior authority during build, live events, and strike • Develop and manage video workflows, signal flow, and redundancy strategies • Collaborate with senior production leads on large-scale projects while maintaining technical ownership • Ensure all technical delivery is compliant with health & safety regulations (RAMS/CDM) • Troubleshoot issues in live environments, ensuring seamless deliveryDay-to-Day Duties:• Lead technical development on complex event briefs • Provide senior-level technical consultancy to clients and internal teams • Conduct site visits and feasibility assessments for new or challenging venues • Design and validate video systems, including signal flow and playback workflows • Oversee content testing and pre-production processes • Coordinate specialist freelancers and technical suppliers when required • Maintain accurate project documentation and technical plans • Brief and manage crew during build, live, and de-rig phases • Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard • Contribute to project debriefs and continuous improvement • Line manage team members, including 1:1s, performance reviews, and workload planningThe CandidateA highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager (Video Lead) with deep expertise in video systems and large-scale live event production.
