With continued growth and an ambitious outlook, this is an exciting time to join the business as an Account Director.The RoleDue to continued expansion, they are now looking for an Account Director to take ownership of key association clients while driving growth, retention and profitability across accounts. This is a senior, strategic position with full responsibility for client relationships, financial performance and new business development. Responsibilities will include:• Leading senior client relationships across key accounts• Driving retention, growth and upselling opportunities• Owning financial forecasting, budgets and profitability• Identifying and win new business, including pitches• Acting as a strategic advisor to clients• Over seeing contracts, renewals and commercial agreements• Collaborating with internal teams to deliver projects successfully• Collaborating with convention bureau and major national venues• Managing account plans and maintaining CRM accuracy• Tracking market trends and competitor activity and representing the business at industry eventsThe CandidateCandidates must have a proven track record in a Senior Account Management or Account Director role within an events agency or PCO environment, with a strong focus on the associations sector. A deep understanding of association congresses, stakeholder management and complex event delivery is essential, alongside strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial forecasts.You will be a confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills, capable of influencing at a senior level both internally and externally. Experience leading on new business pitches and developing long-term client partnerships is highly desirable. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance big-picture planning with hands-on delivery, while leading and inspiring both clients and internal teams. You will have a proven track record of managing and growing high-value client accounts, alongside delivering complex, large-scale B2B event programmes. Candidates must have strong production knowledge and be confident discussing technical elements such as AV, staging and event delivery. Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-suite clients is essential, alongside the ability to lead pitches and win new business.You will be commercially astute, with experience managing large budgets, negotiating supplier contracts and ensuring strong profit margins. Strong leadership skills are key, with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
