Flexible working from home 1 day per week - Your chance to join a unique and historical London venue, driving forward the venues sales function and working within this close knit team!

THE COMPANY

This beautiful, Grade II listed venue is one of the largest conference and event buildings in the Capital and caters to a range of exciting events including concerts, exhibitions, conferences, academic ceremonies and everything in between. The venues distinctive architecture and grandeur, combined with its central London location make it the ideal venue for a variety of public and private events. They offer 25 varied spaces with capacities from 60 - 2,000 pax and are particularly well known for hosting events of cultural significance.

THE ROLE

With a number of exciting developments currently taking place and an ever expanding event calendar, there is now the opportunity for a Business Development Manager to take responsibility for delivering revenue across 3 sites and any future new sites as the portfolio expands!

This is a broad role that includes:

  • Devising marketing initiatives to target new business
  • Attending conferences, meetings and industry events to network with potential new clients
  • Representing the venues at trade shows
  • Creating a personal annual sales plan and executing accordingly
  • Contacting and communicating with clients to inform them about new developments
  • Researching organisations and individuals through a variety of mediums to identify new leads
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish relationships and set up meetings
  • Developing sales goals and ensuring they are met
  • Developing quotes and proposals for new business
  • Supporting on reactive enquiries when required
  • Conducting venue show rounds and presentations
  • Working with the Events team to ensure bookings transition from sales effectively and maintain standards of customer service

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have previous venue sales experience gained from working in a large scale venue or alternatively relevant event industry experience. This role would be perfect for an existing Business Development Manager who has solid experience within a venue or sales experience within another event focussed position.
