THE COMPANY

Our client is a fast growing and well established association. As a leader in promoting risk management practices they engage with policy makers and legislators across the world, communicating effectively with their wide reaching membership base through a broad range of events including conferences and symposia across the UK and internationally.

THE ROLE

Due to team capacity, continued growth and a busy calendar of events they are now looking for an experienced individual to come on board and join their close knit events team. Managing your own events end to end you will also be responsible for supporting on larger events across the year with responsibilities including:

  • End to end event and conference management

  • Delegate management including onsite registration

  • Venue research

  • Full logistics including accommodation and travel booking

  • Speaker, sponsor and exhibitor liaison and management

  • Ensuring materials such as biographies and presentations are obtained and updated accordingly

  • Supplier and venue liaison

  • Maintaining the quality and success of events to ensure member engagement and ultimately business growth

  • Stakeholder management (internal and external) with partner bodies, members and external organisations

  • Working with other teams across the business to ensure knowledge transfer

  • Budget management

  • Onsite management

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must have experience of organising conferences in the UK, ideally for a membership association or financial services client, although other backgrounds will be considered. Experience of sourcing speakers, liaising with venues and managing delegate logistics is essential, as well as budget management. Candidates will also need to be organised, have excellent communication skills and be used to managing multiple projects independently. Stakeholder management is critical for this role.
