THE COMPANY

This beautiful, Grade II listed venue is one of the largest conference and event buildings in the Capital and caters to a range of exciting events including concerts, exhibitions, conferences, academic ceremonies and everything in between. The venues distinctive architecture and grandeur, combined with it central London location make it the ideal venue for a variety of public and private events. They offer 25 varied spaces with capacities from 60-2,500 pax and are particularly well known for hosting events of cultural significance.

THE ROLE

With a number of exciting developments currently taking place and an ever expanding event calendar, there is now the opportunity for a Head of Events to take responsibility for overseeing the effective planning and delivery of the Events Department and pushing this forward within an exceptional team.

This is a broad role that includes:

• Scheduling work load through allocation of confirmed and upcoming events to team members
• Managing a team
• Being the event lead for all large scale events from conception to completion
• Liaising with local authorities as required
• Managing event budgets
• Offering guidance & assistance to the events team in all areas
• Working closely with third party suppliers
• Ensuring cohesion with the internal venue sales team and encouraging close working
• Ensuring working hours and annual leave are planned in accordance with the event schedule
• Working closely with internal teams
• Scanning the horizon for new event opportunities
• Client management

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have previous event management experience ideally gained from working in a large scale venue or alternatively relevant event industry experience. This role would be perfect for an existing Head of Events who has solid experience within a venue or managing large scale events and team members.
