THE COMPANY
This innovative agency is recognised for delivering cutting edge projects that attract spectators in their thousands! A specialist area of their work is producing a portfolio of festivals that connect with audiences through their passion of either extreme sports or music through to gastronomy and contemporary art.
Offering in-house services including events, marketing, creative and production, there is little this agency doesn't cover. The teams are hard working and work together to ensure each project they create is as energizing and as thrilling as the last!
THE ROLE
There is now a fantastic opportunity to join the ream with the objective of becoming MD in the not too distant future.
As Head of Events you will report directly in to the CEO and be responsible for the strategic management and day to day running of the events business. You will take ownership of the event portfolio, driving growth and directly managing key departments to deliver results.
You will be commercially minded with financial accountability around the performance, growth, development and profitability of the festival portfolio.
As a key leader within the business, you will foster a culture of strategic and commercial thinking, encouraging growth and effective communication across teams.
Managing the five key event departments to drive progress and ensure festival strategies are delivered, key duties will include:
* Working with the CEO to develop long term strategic business plans
* Strategic guidance of events
* Management of negotiations, decisions and relationships for the events
* Developing business development strategies
* Idea and concept creation to ensuring events are creative, innovative and engaging
* Line management and development of a team (including freelancers for delivery periods)
* Large scale budget management including P&L management
THE CANDIDATE
The role requires a strategic thinker with a flair for creativity and innovation. You will have extensive knowledge of producing festivals and the key components including finance, commercial rights and partnerships, marketing, creative, production, site management, administration and coordination.
