1 day working from home offered per week - Your chance to join a unique and historical London venue, driving forward the venues sales function and working within this close knit team!

THE COMPANY

This beautiful, Grade II listed venue is one of the largest conference and event buildings in the Capital and caters to a range of exciting events including concerts, exhibitions, conferences, academic ceremonies and everything in between. The venues distinctive architecture and grandeur, combined with its central London location make it the ideal venue for a variety of public and private events. They offer 25 varied spaces with capacities from 60 - 2,000 pax and are particularly well known for hosting events of cultural significance.

THE ROLE

With a number of exciting developments currently taking place and an ever expanding event calendar, there is now the opportunity for a Sales Account Executive to come on board and primarily focus on converting enquiries into sales and generating revenue for the flagship London venue.

This is a broad role that includes:

  • Making a high-level contribution to the achievement of a monthly and annual sales target
  • Receiving and responding to incoming enquiries from a variety of sources in a timely manner
  • Managing leads where possible
  • Working with service partners (AV/Production, Catering and Security) to prepare quotes
  • Converting bookings through effective communication and show rounds with clients
  • Key account management
  • Keeping up to date with market trends
  • Identifying risk dates in the diary where lower rates could be offered to generate sales and to highlight peak dates where rack rates should be sought
  • Utilising the web-based venue management software (iVvy)
  • Producing weekly reports and statistics relating to sales activity and revenue
  • Representing the venue at networking events & tradeshows
  • Contributing to department knowledge sharing sessions, offering insights on competitor activity and other information
  • Working with the Events team to ensure bookings transition from sales effectively

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have previous venue sales experience gained from working in a large scale venue, hotel or alternatively relevant event industry experience. This role would be perfect for an existing Sales Account Executive who has solid experience within a venue or sales experience within another event focussed position.
