THE ROLE
Due to continued business growth they are now looking to expand their scientific writing team with an experienced (Senior) Medical Writer to create medical and scientific content to engage and educate diverse audiences.

Responsibilities are broad and include:

  • Researching and writing audience appropriate scientific/medical content for a broad range of audiences
  • Conducting literature searches
  • Representing the scientific team in wider project teams
  • Working across multiple projects
  • Building strong client relationships
  • Collaborating with internal teams including account teams and other scientific team members to develop and execute scientific content and strategy
  • Working with Scientific Directors and Editors to ensure all content is well written and accurate

 


THE CANDIDATE
Candidates must have proven experience working as a Medical Writer / Senior Medical Writer gained ideally from working for a medical communications agency, although experience of working for other companies including direct pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies or biotechnology clients would also be considered.

Candidates must be able to distil complex scientific information and terminology for a range of audiences and ideally be proficient in conducting literature searches in PubMed. In addition candidates should be educated to degree level in life sciences or pharmacology. Experience of liaising directly with clients as well as experience of writing for diverse media including slides, print, website, app, audio, video, e-learning assets would be an added benefit.
