We are looking for a Business Development Director to join the team of a well-established event organisation - this is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic business!
Our client is a leading international event solutions company who deliver a diverse portfolio of projects across the world! Working with a broad variety of clients they service some of the most prestigious sporting, commercial and cultural occasions on the global event calendar. They specialise in delivering temporary event environments, large scale event project management and varied event equipment solutions. As they have in-house divisions including structures, event solutions and catering they are able to offer bespoke and innovative services tailored specifically to their client's needs!
They are now looking to grow their sales division with a Business Development Director who will be responsible for driving sales across the business.
As Business Development Director you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to increase company revenue and expand presence within the market.
Key responsibilities for this role include;
*Taking the lead on new business development
*Participating in the strategic development and direction of the business
*Developing a sales pipeline of opportunities
*Building and developing relationships with clients
*Preparing proposals and delivering presentation/pitches
*Working collaboratively with internal departments
*Preparing performance and financial reports
*Understanding the businesses unique selling propositions
*Tracking new markets and emerging trends across the sector
*Networking across the industry including trade show attendance and meetings
To be considered for this position we are looking for candidates who have a proven background in seeking out and winning business within an event supply company. Experience and knowledge of the temporary structures market within the outdoor event sector is essential for this role. Candidates need to have experience of creating RFP responses and proposals. Strengths in developing relationships and identifying opportunities, as well as pitching for business are key for this particular role.
