With a key focus on creating close knit client relationships through the delivery of exceptional events, they have established an enviable client base. Working across various sectors including FMCG, manufacturing and retail, their events portfolio can be anything from product launches and incentives through to conferences and large scale exhibitions based throughout the UK and overseas, as well as some corporate hospitality and sports focused events.
Due to their on-going success and exciting growth strategy, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their talented team. This is an exciting chance to work closely with the Directors of the agency and drive forward their sales plan targeting a range of new and lapsed clients.
Responsibilities will include:
Identifying new prospect clients
Getting in touch with prospects to unearth new business
Meeting with clients to present credentials
Building a pipeline of opportunities
Taking event briefs and creating solutions for proposals
Pitching for new event business
Working towards set sales targets
Attending networking and industry events
Developing new accounts within the business
The ideal candidate must have previous sales experience within the events sector, ideally selling the services of an agency to a corporate client base, and a proven track record. A passion for the sector, drive and relentless ambition is crucial to the role as is a love for sales and closing a deal.
