THE COMPANY

This fantastic company has a foothold in many areas including media, events and sports with a strong legacy in mass participation sports events. Based in wonderful modern offices they offer career progression like no other as well as some out of the box benefits that are second to none. With the opportunity to attend events across the UK they are now looking to expand their established sales team with a passionate sports fan!

THE ROLE

Due to an internal promotion an opportunity has become available for a Sales Manager within the sports events division to sell across the sponsorship packages.

Responsibilities include:

* Researching, generating and nurturing leads
* Attending meetings with prospective clients
* Presenting potential sponsorship packages to prospects
* Networking with current and prospective sponsors at events
* Inputting all sales activity on the company CRM system
* Creating bespoke sponsorship packages across multiple events
* Securing and winning new business
* Working towards an annual sponsorship sales target
* Reporting to the Sales Director weekly on activity

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be a passionate sales person with a proven track record of selling sponsorship packages in either the sports or media arenas. An interest in sports and outdoor events would be a massive plus to really make this a perfect match

Articulate, well presented and self motivated you must be able to work fairly autonomously to build your own sales pipeline, lead meetings and secure the deals. You will be well supported and some meetings would be attended with a Sales or Commercial Director.
