Events can range from a VIP meeting in London for 50 delegates, to a high end meeting for 300 or a partner conference for up to 2,000 across the globe! There is now an exciting opportunity to join their team within an Event Coordinator position.
THE ROLE
As Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the wider team in the delivery of a broad range of corporate events across varied clients. Responsibilities will include:
-Carrying out general event administration duties
-Working closely with varied Event Managers and Senior Event Managers
-Attending client calls and meetings
-Liaising with internal departments including travel and venue find
-Communicating with external suppliers such as venues and DMCs
-Preparing event documents such as rooming lists
-Assisting with the organisation of events logistics and delegate management
-Supporting with event finances through invoicing etc.
-Taking ownership over small events
-Attending onsite to deliver events where required
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for candidates who are ambitious, eager to learn and keen to develop their career within the events sector. Some experience working in an events based role would be beneficial and an events focused qualification would be advantageous. THE ROLE
As Venue Find Specialist, you will be responsible for venue find enquiries and management with both new and existing clients. Responsibilities will cover:
-Working in a client facing capacity and developing relationships
-Taking enquiries to establish the requirements of the brief
-Sourcing and contacting suitable venues
-Preparing client facing proposals to detail suitable options
-Negotiating rates and possible solutions to the brief
-Liaising with venue suppliers and building these relationships
-Maximising revenue through upselling where possible
-Managing meeting space and accommodation requests
-Working to client budgets
-Attending site visits and familiarisation trips where necessary
THE CANDIDATE
The Venue Find Specialist who will succeed in this role will ideally have some previous events experience with a focus towards venue sourcing. Any experience dealing with and knowledge of international venues would be a benefit.
