Job description

Hybrid working – 3 days a week, 2 days in the office, flexible hours. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Social Media Manager to join a team-orientated, socially conscious and award-winning recruitment agency in the creative events industry.

Who are we?
We’re an award-winning recruitment agency like no other. Our business is built on a collaborative, supportive and socially conscious ethos that allows every person in our team to love what they do, feel supported and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

We are a true partner for most of the UK's leading creative events and experiential agencies (think car launches, award shows, festival activations etc) connecting exceptional talent to great opportunities.

No hard sales.. we just work hard, give exceptional service to our clients and candidates, use our industry knowledge and utilise the latest tech/resources to make sure we are the go-to recruitment agency for the industry.

Why join us?
We think we offer something different, here’s why.

A great team: Everyone says it, but we truly do work as one team, everyone supporting each other and celebrating successes in an honest and genuine way. Everyone has a part to play in what we do and how we develop as a business, so open forums and idea sharing are integral to our success.

Advertising/reputation: We have built a great name in the industry which means that we’re now the “go to” people for clients and candidates. New clients contact us all of the time and great candidates come to us for their next career move. On top of that we use latest recruitment tech and outperform all of our competitors in the sector with a very well-resourced (and financed) marketing budget.

Career opportunity: We trust and develop our team, that’s why almost everyone in the business has been promoted at least once during their time with us. If you have the talent we will support and develop you in every way we can.

Hours: We treat people in a grown-up way - that's why we offer flexible hours. Want to come in late - no problem, want to leave early, again no problem. It's all about the work being done.

Home working: Our rather fabulous offices are open all week to every team member, but generally we work from home 3 days a week. We're a fab team who see the value in being together regularly, so you'd need to be able to commute to our Birmingham office on 2 set days a week.

Social stuff: We do all kinds of things, lunches, dinners, awards (cheesy but fun), team outings, feel good Fridays, quarterly incentives etc etc etc

Holidays: 26 days holiday (plus more each year) + bank holidays + the option to take another 3 unpaid. Not bad we think..

The environment: Yes there's music playing, fresh fruit, random tea flavours and all the other stuff you'll find in a cool modern office, but what really makes it special is the positive vibe and supportive / happy team.

For the good: We want our team to make a difference both at work and in society. We offer 3 paid days per year to each person for charitable work, encourage charitable initiatives and we're committed to making a substantial annual donation to a charity chosen by the team.

The role
This is a broad role that encompasses all things social for a fast paced business. We have a great story, we have a listening audience, now we need someone to help bring that all together.

As you’ll see from the below responsibilities, we’re looking for someone with a wide range of skills:

-        Work closely with the team to identify hot topics / industry insights that will engage our audience

-        Develop a monthly content plan

-        Write content (opinion pieces, industry updates, monthly newsletters) for LinkedIn plus other channels

-        Work with external designers to create engaging visual content

-        Curate and manage our presence across social media (including strategy)

-        Identify and contact PR opportunities

-        Monitor and analyse social media performance and provide insights / reports

-        Manage the posting of content using automated tools

-        Respond to any social questions / feedback

What do we look for?
First it’s about chemistry, we have a tight team so you’ll need to be a people person who can enjoy (and add to) our friendly and supportive culture.

Second is experience. For this role candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience creating engaging (and creative) content for a business, preferably focusing on Facebook / LinkedIn.
Content writing is a big must - you'll have to love writing and engaging with an audience.

This role would suit candidates who are looking for two / three days per week with flexible hours. We do want this person to be an active and integrated member of the team, so they will need to spend time in our central Birmingham office 2 days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) each week.
