THE ROLE
Due to the recent win of new accounts and subsequent growth they are now looking for an experienced CAD Designer to come on board and take the lead on projects across the year. A broad role, it will be your responsibility to use your expert CAD skills to design and communicate plans for an exciting range of projects and oversee the delivery of these.
Responsibilities include:
Client liaison and management
Designing in CAD and Sketch up
Producing full working drawings and visualisations that can be presented to clients
Working closely with the workshop
Overseeing projects including all production elements
Supplier liaison and management
Budget management and reconciliation
Onsite management including overseeing installation
THE CANDIDATE
Candidates must have a proven background of creating drawings and visualisations for a range of projects, be that from with a production agency, design and build agency , theatre design or prop manufacturing sector. Candidates must be proficient in CAD and ideally Sketch up and have a deep knowledge of the production and build process including knowledge of materials and finishing methods. An understanding of the events market and exposure to project management would be an added benefit but is not essential for the role (as training can be given in these areas).
Most importantly candidates need to have a flexible approach combined with the passion and drive to join one of the leading agencies!
