Our client is an established not for profit membership organisation who are industry experts in their field. Whilst classed as a charity, the business is run very much as a corporate entity and has over 1,000 corporate members. Priding themselves on offering informative and market leading events they have a broad events programme including trade briefings, training events, networking events and conferences for up to 2,000pax.

THE ROLE

Due to an increasing portfolio of events and continuous growth they now have a need for an experienced Conference Producer to come on board. A newly created position, you will be responsible for creating and producing programme content across a variety of large scale events. A critical and senior role within the business responsibilities include:

*Developing the conference programme (working closely with subject matter experts)
*Ensuring projected income levels are achieve through the development of outstanding content
*Working closely with the marketing and operational teams
*Writing proposals and content for the events
*Conducting market research to develop topic areas
*Speaker research, acquisition and management
*Engaging with influencers in the industry to develop knowledge in the sector
*Using feedback to tailor and improve future events
*Networking onsite

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must have a solid background of developing and producing content for events, including speaker research, acquisition and management. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential as is the ability to communicate with internal teams including marketing and operations. Candidates must have proven skills in research and strong copy writing skills. Industry knowledge in retail and FMCG sector would be an added bonus but is not essential for this role.
