THE ROLE

Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking for a Congress Project Manager to join their passionate team and work on the delivery of internationally congresses for some of their high profile clients. ,Working on a range of congresses from start to finish at any one time responsibilities are broad and include:

* Overall responsibility of the congress / events including exhibition stands, symposia, digital, production and live events

* Being present and participating in kick off meetings

* Understanding the strategic approach

* Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers

* Ensuring timelines are maintained and communicated effectively

* Ensuring operational excellence of the projects

* Ensuring compliance across all areas of the project

* Stakeholder management

* Budget management including financial reconciliation and reporting

* Onsite management

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal background would be someone currently working within a similar role at an event agency or conference organiser. Previous experience of working on congresses and its associated events is essential and ideally this experience should come from global congress management within the pharmaceutical industry. As such candidates must have had experience of being involved in all areas from exhibition booths through to additional meetings and symposia with strong logistics management experience. Candidates must be able to travel as you will be expected to go onsite to manage the congresses / events.
