GROUP TRAVEL MANAGER - EVENT & TRAVEL AGENCY

£40,000 + BONUS + BENS

Fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Group Travel Manager to head up an experienced team of Consultants and work as part of a leading events and travel business!
THE COMPANY
This fantastic company is an industry leader, having been consistently growing its services, client base and reputation for over 20 years and now employing close to 500 people. They offer a wide range of services including business and group travel, event management, venue finding and delegate registration across a broad client base.
THE ROLE
Due to an internal career move there is now a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Group Travel Manager to join their lovely offices in London.
Key responsibilities will include
* Ensuring that the quality of group travel bookings through the team is at the very highest standards
* Coaching, developing and managing a team of travel consultants
* Account management for key clients within the department
* Being the key point of contact for clients and attending meetings
* Overseeing travel booking projects for groups of up to 1000 delegates
* Leading on complex group bookings for clients
* Ensuring processes are streamlined to ensure efficiency
* Liaising with internal departments and regularly using and training on bespoke systems
THE CANDIDATE
Commercially aware, highly motivated and adaptable, the ideal candidate will have come from a business travel background and ideally be a Group Travel Manager or Team Leader at the moment. A strong understanding of overseeing travel bookings for events is crucial ideally for events with delegates travelling from multiple destinations and with large scale budgets. You will be prepared to take responsibility for running a successful team, and ensuring that a consistently high level of service is delivered. Line management experience is a must, and any knowledge of flight booking software is also crucial. Sabre, Galileo and Amadeus will be considered ideally with BA drop through knowledge
