THE ROLE
With a busy events calendar for 2018 and exciting development plans for 2019 they are now looking for an experienced Head of Events to come on board and take ownership of the team, ensuring operational delivery and process across the board.
A broad role responsibility will include:
Overseeing the delivery of the events calendar
Leading on larger, more complex events, including an awards programme and conference
Supplier management and negotiation
Managing and developing client relationships
Ensuring operational process across the team
Ensuring communication and efficiencies across departments
Line management and development of the team
Daily management including resolving issues and leading internal meetings
Managing and leading event strategy meetings
Being responsible for overseeing the creation of all programme materials
Liaising with marketing teams to ensure programme content
Stakeholder management
Budget management and reconciliation
On-site event management when required
Post event evaluation
THE CANDIDATE
Candidates must have a proven background of managing and delivering events, ideally including awards programmes, training events and conferences. Experience can be gained either from within an association, agency or corporate background however candidates must have a proven background of managing and developing teams previously, including managing operational processes. Strong budget management and stakeholder management is essential and any exposure to eventsforce would be desirable but is not a pre-requisite.
