The Company
A world renowned medical organisation in the center of London that delivers highly regarded medical education events for its members. With a heritage that goes back hundreds of years combined with a global reputation for being world class they are leaders in their field.

The Role
Pre 2020 they had streamed many of their events to international delegates, but in 2020 they moved to a fully virtual format and haven't looked back since. Whilst the streaming and platforms have been basic it has allowed them to extend their audience, and in 2021 they are pushing their digital program further… much further. This role is key to that development.

Managing a small team of Technicians (Video / Camera / Techs) the Head of Technology will be the person who takes the brief, looks at ways in which to engage with the audience using various digital means, liaises with platform provides and developers as to what is possible and oversees all aspect of the technical delivery.

This is a senior role with broad responsibilities, generally including:

* Liaising with stakeholders to fully understand the event requirements
* Advising on the best platform / use of technologies
* Liaising with and managing suppliers
* Managing timelines / budgets
* Advising on, and overseeing the development of content
* Managing and developing a team
* Overseeing technical delivery of all events

The candidate
Candidates should have experience delivering the technical aspects of virtual / digital events combined with a deep understand of the platforms out there and their possibilities / limitations. Also important is the desire to grow / develop their technical team and help a world class organisation to be at the forefront of virtual / digital events.
