Global events agency are seeking a strong Senior Account Manager / Meetings Manager to work on one of their high profile pharmaceutical accounts! The role will be split between the agency and the client.

THE COMPANY

With a pedigree in delivering a host of large scale events on a truly global scale, this is the agency to work for! Their client base is the who's who of healthcare clients and they touch all areas of the events spectrum from small meetings to ad boards to global congresses and everything in between. Due to some exciting extensions and developments on their key accounts, we are now recruiting a role that will be based partly at the client's offices and partly with the agency to ensure the smooth delivery of the global events programme.

THE ROLE

Supporting the established events team, and acting as the interface between the client and the internal events team, this Senior Account Manager position is all about ensuring the client is well managed and the events are briefed into the agency seamlessly. Working closely with other agencies, the client stakeholders and the events team the Senior Account Manager will oversee a global meetings and events programme of specific pharma events. The role will be based within a corporate team, however you will be employed by the events agency and be expected to work between the two offices as the business needs.

The range of duties will include:

* Working on a global programme of events
* Implementing new processes to ensure smooth delivery
* Managing key stakeholder relationships and unearthing the briefs
* Briefing these into the agency, liaising with other agencies
* Overseeing the delivery including project timeline meetings
* Budget management and cost management
* Working with suppliers and streamlining costs
* Delegate management and implementing systems / processes
* On-site event management

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will be working in a pharmaceutical events agency or client side in a pharmaceutical company. A deep understanding of the landscape of pharmaceutical events and compliance is a must and the candidate must have superb communication skills. We will consider candidates from corporate and agency backgrounds, what is really important is the capability to deliver a range of corporate events from end to end (UK and internationally) as well as a proven ability in managing and reconciling budgets. A flexible approach to travel between offices is needed.
