THE ROLE
Due to continued business growth they are now looking to expand their team with an experienced Senior Medical Writer to deliver and develop science-based content across a range of projects and accounts. Responsibilities are broad and include:

  • Understanding the brief in relation to the client and/or product objectives
  • Generating a range of scientific content including agendas, publications, slides, messaging, and meeting materials
  • Distilling complex science into clear, well-structured and meaningful communications
  • Providing scientific expertise to internal/external stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of all allocated projects
  • Ensuring communication and educational messages are relevant for the intended audience
  • Ensuring process, publication and client branding guidelines are followed
  • Ensuring the content meets the relevant compliance codes, e.g. ABPI and EFPIA
  • Work closely with internal teams
  • Supporting with pitches / research when required
  • Supporting trainee medical writers and medical writers
  • Keeping abreast of latest updates in medical writing techniques and trends within the industry
  • Onsite support when necessary

THE CANDIDATE
Candidates must have proven experience working as a Medical Writer / Senior Medical Writer gained ideally from working within medial communications. Candidates must be able to distil complex scientific information and terminology for a range of audiences and across a range of mediums. In addition candidates should be educated to degree level with a PhD/MSc and/or BSc in science. Experience of liaising directly with clients as well as experience of writing for diverse media including slides, print, website, app, audio, video, e-learning assets would be an added benefit.
