Great opportunity to join a leading global events agency within one of their dedicated in-house teams and lead global SMMP and venue sourcing projects!

THE COMPANY

With a strong, established base and offices across Europe and the USA this agency has gone from strength to strength recently including dedicated teams within some of their well known blue chip clients. With a broad and varied list of such clients they have exceptional capabilities in event logistics, production and travel delivering events including conferences, exhibitions, congresses and incentives for 10 - 1000 pax worldwide as well as running strategic meeting management contracts. Covering a variety of sectors including technology, pharma and financial services they deliver outstanding events across the UK and internationally.

THE ROLE

A role of Venue Sourcing Manager has been recently created within one of their dedicated client teams due to an increase in events pipelined for this client. Whilst employed by the agency the role is implanted at the client offices working in a strong team of Event and Account Managers. With a focus on global projects the team will deliver conferences, meetings and exhibition attendance and this role will specifically be dedicated to global venue sourcing and procurement.

The role will cover:

* Working on a global calendar of events
* Sourcing venues for a variety of projects
* Leading the negotiations with a variety of vendors
* Managing budgets and contracting suppliers
* Keeping abreast of industry updates and new venues
* Attending fam trips and educational events
* Managing a multitude of projects at any one time
* Budget management and negotiations

THE CANDIDATE

Currently working either within an agency with venue finding as part of your role or with a strong focus on global venue finding and strategic meeting management - international events experience is a MUST! With an up to date repertoire of the latest venues and honed negotiation skills this is an opportunity to use your agency experience in a new way within a corporate events team.
