IMPLANT EVENT MANAGER - pharmaceutical meetings & events
Global events agency are seeking a strong Project Manager / Meetings Manager to work on one of their high profile pharmaceutical accounts! This is an implant role predominately based within the client offices.
With a pedigree in delivering a host of high profile pharmaceutical events, this is the agency to work for! Their client base is the who's who of healthcare clients and they touch all areas of the events spectrum from small meetings to ad boards to global congresses and everything in between. Due to some exciting extensions and developments on their key accounts, we are now recruiting a role that will be based predominately at the client's offices to ensure the smooth delivery of the global events programme.
This Project Manager position is all about ensuring that the events are managed seamlessly from a logistical perspective including travelling on site. Working closely with other agencies and the client stakeholders the Project Manager will oversee a global meetings and events programme of specific pharma events. The role will be based within a corporate team, and there is some flexibility to work from home.
The range of duties will include:
* Working on a global programme of events
* Full project management of advisory boards for KOLs
* Overseeing the delivery including project timeline meetings
* Budget management and reconciliation
* Working with suppliers including streamlining costs
* Delegate management and implementing systems / processes
* On-site event management
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience delivering events in a pharmaceutical events agency and an understanding of the landscape of pharmaceutical compliance would be beneficial. We will consider candidates from corporate and agency backgrounds, what is really important is the capability to deliver a range of corporate events from end to end (UK and internationally) as well as a proven ability in managing and reconciling budgets.

Due to a new client win as part of their ongoing global business development strategy, we are now recruiting multiple roles for a new healthcare client of theirs including a Senior Project Manager. With a focus on congress attendance, ad boards, investigator meetings and stand alone meetings, the events delivered will be varied and the role of Senior Project Manager will focus on the end to end delivery. Some of the roles will be based within the client's offices, depending on the account.
The role will cover:
* Key stakeholder management within the client
* Briefing the teams and running the more complex events
* Contracting and negotiating with venues and suppliers
* Large scale budget management and reconciliation
* Managing 3rd party suppliers
* Ensuring smooth delegate registration process
* Overseeing a Project Manager and Project Executive
* Continuous client management and updates
* On-site event management (international travel)
Currently working either within an agency delivering large scale pharmaceutical congresses and stand alone events, or within an in-house pharma client team, you will be able to demonstrate full project management of a range of events. With a strong understanding of the compliance surrounding the industry including ABPI and European compliance within pharma, you will be passionate about delivering high profile events for some of the top names in the industry and keen to develop your career with a great agency!
