Birmingham and remote working - An excellent opportunity to use your recruitment experience in a new and financially rewarding way!
Who are we?
We're an award winning recruitment agency like no other. Our business is built on a collaborative, supportive and socially conscious ethos that allows every person in our team to love what they do, feel supported and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
We are a true partner for most of the UK's leading creative events and experiential agencies (think car launches, award shows, festival activations etc) connecting exceptional talent to great opportunities.
No hard sales, no recruitment bull.. we just work hard, give exceptional service to our clients, use our industry knowledge and utilise the latest tech / resources to make sure we are the go to recruitment agency for the industry.
Why join us?
We think we offer something different, here's why.
A great team: Everyone says it, but we truly do work as one team, everyone supporting each other and celebrating successes in an honest and genuine way. Everyone has a part to play in what we do and how we develop as a business, so open forums and idea sharing are integral to our success. We continuously run anonymous polls and regularly get 10/10 for personal happiness, support, training and ability to "make a difference".
Advertising / reputation: We have built a great name in the industry which means that we're now the "go to" people for clients and candidates. New clients contact us all of the time and great candidates come to us for their next career move. On top of that we use latest recruitment tech and outperform all of our competitors in the sector with a very well resourced (and financed) marketing budget.
Career opportunity: We trust and develop our team, that's why almost everyone in the business has been promoted at least once during their time with us. If you have the talent we will support and develop you in every way we can.
Hours: We treat people in a grown up way - that's why we offer flexible hours. Want to come in late - no problem, want to leave early, again no problem. It's all about the work being done.
Home working: Our rather fabulous offices are open all week to every team member, but generally we work from home 3 days a week. We're a fab team who see the value in being together regularly, so you'd need to be able to commute to our Birmingham office (Colmore Row) on 2 set days a week.
Social stuff: We do all kinds of things, lunches, dinners, awards (cheesy but fun), team outings, feel good Fridays (we finish at 4:00pm and have a beer), quarterly incentives etc etc etc
Holidays: 26 days holiday (plus more each year) + bank holidays + the option to take another 3 unpaid. Not bad we think..
The environment: Yes there's music playing, fresh fruit, random tea flavours and all the other stuff you'll find in a cool modern office, but what really makes it special is the positive vibe and supportive / happy team.
For the good: We want our team to make a difference both at work and in society. We offer 3 paid days per year to each person for charitable work, encourage charitable initiatives and we're committed to making a substantial annual donation to a charity chosen by the team.
The role
Working with the UK's leading events / experiential agencies and global brands you'll be the person that really understands the clients business and what they are looking for in a new recruit. From a junior Event Exec through to a Head of Events you'll use your knowledge to really get under the skin of the brief and ultimately find the talent they need.
Managing the process from start to finish this is a broad role, including;
- Meeting clients (face to face or virtually)
- Taking the brief - not just the role but understanding the overall business and how this position fits in
- Writing compelling job adverts
- Searching our extensive network (with support from the team) for possible candidates
- Interviewing candidates to understand their experience and ideal next career move
- Arranging interviews and managing offers
Whilst a pro-active approach to all of the above is a must, this isn't a sales position.
What do we look for?
First it's about chemistry, we have a tight team so you'll need to be a people person who can enjoy (and add to) our friendly and supportive culture.
Second is experience. Candidates could come from either an events or recruitment background.
From an events background candidates will need to have experience working within an events environment, managing the end to end delivery of events and managing client relationships. We have years of experience in event recruitment, and offer extensive support and training to get you up to speed quickly.
If from a recruitment background we would be looking for someone who has predominantly focused on permanent recruitment within a professional services industry. There's not much we don't know about the events industry so there's stacks of support to help you understand the market.
