A key part of the role is using your technical expertise to support sales conversations, ensuring every client receives solutions that are both creatively impressive and technically robust.Key responsibilities include: Leading technical planning and execution for live eventsActing as the main technical contact for clients, venues, and suppliersTaking and qualifying client enquiries, advising on technical feasibility and creative approachesApplying technical knowledge when building proposals, ensuring solutions meet client needs and budgetsWorking closely with internal teams to convert enquiries, contributing to the wider sales pipeline and maintaining ongoing client accountsCreating technical drawings and layouts using CAD/Vectorworks (or similar)Ensuring compliance with health & safety standardsMentoring junior team members and freelancers THE CANDIDATEAs Technical Account Manager, you’ll bring strong experience in technical production and a solid understanding of live event delivery. You’ll combine excellent organisational skills with confident communication, enabling you to translate complex technical information into clear, client-friendly proposals, successfully converting new business for the company. You’ll have experience creating proposals, managing budgets, enjoy working collaboratively, and be comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This role will suit someone who thrives on planning, coordination and execution, acting as the central technical lead throughout the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities for this Technical Producer role include:• Owning the technical delivery across multiple live, hybrid and virtual projects• Translating creative briefs into detailed technical plans and solutions• Leading technical scoping, feasibility and budgeting from project outset• Creating and managing production schedules, technical workflows and critical paths• Coordinating internal teams across production, creative and account management• Selecting, briefing and managing technical suppliers and contractors• Managing risk, troubleshooting and ensuring delivery against timelines• Overseeing Health & Safety compliance across all technical elements• Managing technical budgets, cost control and post-event reconciliation• Providing hands-on on-site technical leadership for UK and international eventsThe CandidateThe ideal candidate for this Technical Producer role will bring a strong background in technical project delivery, gained within a production agency, technical supplier or similar environment. You will have proven experience managing complex, multi-layered projects with confidence, combining technical knowledge (AV, lighting, staging, build) with excellent planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.You’ll be comfortable working at pace, managing multiple workstreams and suppliers, and acting as the technical authority for both clients and internal teams. Experience delivering conferences, expos, large corporate events or global programmes is highly desirable.
