THE ROLE

Due to business growth, we are now seeking an experienced, self-motivated and energetic sales focused Account Manager to develop revenues from our existing series of events, as well as the new events launching this year through exhibition space and sponsorship sales. Although part of a team of 50+ this role will be part of the new series sales team which are a series of small-scale regional thought-leadership events made up of 3 regional events in Worldwide locations with attendance of circa 1000.

Reporting to the Commercial Director responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

-    Managing and growing revenues through sponsorship and exhibitor sales to local, regional and global organisations at a senior level 

-    Ability to conduct multiple sales campaigns simultaneously across all events

-    Managing a selection of key, strategic clients - selling directly to them, building strong business relationships

-    New Business development and research in all regions for potential sponsors - involves sourcing leads from existing clients but also through proactive outreach via social media, LinkedIn, news publications, and competitive events

-    Liaison with marketing, operations, customer service and finance 

-    Aid analysis of sales statistics to determine business growth potential 

-    Global travel is a must

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have a passion for events, excel in sales, and be a team player who is able to collaborate across departments. We need someone to be at the top of their game, used to delivering a high-quality service, hitting and exceeding sales targets, and fostering excellent relationships both internal and external.  

Criteria for selection: 

-    Minimum of four years' sales experience ideally in conference & exhibition sales

-    Commercially minded with initiative and a hunger for new business 

-    Ability to manage, develop and deliver multiple sales campaigns simultaneously 

-    Proven track record of sales & account management, meeting and exceeding targets

-    Proven success in managing the full sales cycle from planning to closing deals

-    Ability to offer a first-class, professional sales and account management service to commercial partners and to build strong business relationships at all levels

-    Ideally experienced in selling events and/or services in the connectivity/telco/IT sector 

-    Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills

-    Proactive approach to identifying opportunities, generating leads and producing sales presentations
