This award winning agency specialises in medical communications and education for a range of clients in the healthcare industry working with some of the biggest names in pharmaceuticals. With a focus on three particular therapy areas they offer a range of services for their clients including events such as ad boards and symposia, digital projects including apps and web builds, internal training and market access. With a large team of highly skilled medical writers, content and strategy are the key to everything that they do and how they have grown the business so successfully.
They have a fun, relaxed and intelligent culture where they support their team to develop as far as they want to go, often progressing people from entry level to Directors! Their staff turnover is low and their account handling team of over 10 is looking to strengthen the mid level with some strong Account Managers and Senior Account Managers to head up some of the key clients.

THE ROLE

The Account Manager is a crucial role for the business and will play a key role in heading up some client relationships, understanding the briefs and overseeing some fantastic projects across the agency.
An overview of the Account Manager / Senior Account Manager role:

* Having a strategic view for all client accounts and understanding their business
* Taking an initial brief from the client and interrogating the brief
* Briefing in the in-house teams and external suppliers
* Leading projects from concept to completion being primary client liaison
* Managing a portfolio of account and projects to maximise return
* Defining processes, training and mentoring of the team
* Reporting to and working closely with the Account Director

This is a fast paced agency role where the very nature of the work means as Account Manager you will be juggling multiple projects at any one time, building strong internal relationships with writers and creatives and ultimately delivering excellence for some fantastic global clients.

THE CANDIDATE

With a strong academic background and Degree educated (ideally within a life science area) you will be able to demonstrate exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting and diplomacy skills through account management. Ideally currently an Account Manager within a med ed or med comms agency (candidates stepping up into the role will also be considered) my client is looking for individuals who want to manage relationships and create innovative solutions for their global customers. An understanding of different areas including digital, video and print from a medical comms perspective would be an added bonus.
