THE COMPANY

This leading organisation holds various key business events across the country every year. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most influential and leading business organisations in the UK, representing over 3,300 members, and working on some of the most high-profile conferences in the country, that are widely covered in the media.

THE ROLE

The Conference Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful, effective, and professional management of project work within the conference portfolio. In addition, this role will also utilise your content skills, in pulling components together to drive forwards the whole agenda for each of the events, working closely with the show caller. The role sits within the Events team, reporting into the Head of Events and working closely with the events and sponsorship teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead conference planning and delivery from end to end
  • Managing sizeable event budgets and ensuring these are tightly controlled
  • Sourcing and managing a range of external suppliers, including but not limited to venues, catering, AV, production, external agencies
  • Speaker & delegate management
  • Management of key stakeholders to generate compelling events concepts, messaging, and outputs
  • Working with colleagues to produce clear event objectives
  • Work with project teams to design best-in-class delegate journeys, from making bookings to at-event experience
  • Provide project teams with regular status updates
  • Work with teams across sponsorship and marketing
  • Support the creation of content-led event communication and information copy that will be used for promotion, speaker invitations, briefing documents, and other communication channels

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate should have strong experience of end-to-end management within corporate conferences. Stakeholder & client relationship building skills are a must, as well as someone who is commercially minded, with budget management skills and a focus on delivering positive returns.
