Fantastic opportunity to join an established events team within a well know association and support on the delivery of their event programme!

THE COMPANY

This organisation is the leading specialist medical association within the therapeutic area, delivering a supportive service to their members, be they clinicians or health care practitioners. With over 2000 members in the UK that include consultants, HCPs, clinicians and trainee Doctors - this organisation provides policy updates and educational events to promote excellence in care. Events can range from training courses for 20 pax, to their largest annual conference and expo which sees 2000 attendees.

THE ROLE

They are now looking for an Education & Event Manager to come on board and manage and develop content for their training programmes, and oversee the complex logistics for a number of their events.

A broad role, responsibilities include:

* Take the lead on ensuring that the educational programme is developed according to event briefs
* Liaison and management of high profile speakers
* Logistics management
* Liaising with internal teams and managing speaker schedules
* Working closely with internal teams in regards to speaker requirements and conference materials
* Proof reading and amending programmes (if necessary)
* Supplier management and negotiation
* Line management of an Event Coordinator
* Budget management including updating budgets and reconciling accounts
* Onsite management (including management of staff)
* Post event reporting and analysis

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must have experience of developing event content from brief to delivery, ideally from within a conference / exhibition organiser, PCO or association environment. Candidates must have a proven background of managing events logistics. A strong background of managing speakers and programmes is essential, as is the ability to communicate with senior level stakeholders / speakers. Any knowledge of the medical sector would be an added benefit but is not essential for the role.
