Your chance to be part of a brand new venture between two of Birmingham's most renowned event spaces in the heart of the city!

THE COMPANY

Utilising the existing venues, these two establishments have recently come together forming a brand new events team. Exploiting the fantastic conferencing and hospitality opportunities offered within their shared space; they are able to hold corporate events for a diverse range of clients with numbers reaching 800 pax. This incredibly flexible event venue also offers unique spaces for the more unusual brief and private special events. Having already had huge success as established venues this new endeavour will only allow for an even busier event calendar!

THE ROLE

We are now looking for an ambitious Event Manager to join this new and exciting team! As part of the team you will provide an efficient and professional events service managing the operational aspects of events taking place across the venues.

The role will cover the following:

  • Taking initial brief from the client
  • Conducting show arounds of the venues
  • Working with clients to develop strong relationships and repeat business
  • Providing excellent customer service and representation of the brand values
  • Securing venue bookings and negotiating contracts
  • Managing all operational aspects of conferences and events
  • Communicating effectively across different departments
  • Maximising profit margins via upselling
  • Running events onsite including client management

THE CANDIDATE

To be considered for this position candidates will have experience working in a corporate event space successfully delivering a busy calendar of events. As part of their previous background candidates will have been in a client facing role and will have managed the operational aspect of events as they go live. The ability to convert business from enquiry, an understanding of budget management and experience in using Artifax, Opera or a similar booking system would be beneficial. Most importantly a professional attitude and passion for learning new skills are essential to be successful in this new venture!
