THE ROLE

An Operations Manager role has become available to deliver the highest levels of operational performance whilst supporting the Global Operations team & meeting and events business. Focus for this role will be to ensure the right size operational teams, efficient and effective use of technology, processes, measurements and efficiency gains.

The remit is quite broad for this role, and the great thing is as a new position you will really have the opportunity to make it your own.

An overview would include:

* Provide effective leadership, direction and development to the team of meetings specialists across UK, Ireland, Belgium & Netherlands
* Implementing key processes across the business
* Shaping the team including recruitment and internal appointments
* Ensuring operational excellence against all projects
* Identifying any training needs and creating development plans
* Monthly reporting to the Head of Events
* Developing internal and external stakeholder relationships

The ideal candidate will have worked within a global agency and have a strong understanding of event delivery and ultimately the experience of leading, mentoring and training a team.

Strong leadership skills to enable motivation of direct reports, operations teams and other functional leads who directly impact the day to day operation i.e. sales, program management, etc. would also be advantageous

Excellent client communication and presentation skills along with extensive destination and product knowledge would be a huge bonus.
