THE ROLE

This agency are now looking for a Head of Events to overseeing the logistics, delivery and production of a strong event portfolio both in the UK & Internationally as well as managing a team of Event Managers at all different levels. You will be a key member of the senior team, reporting directly into the Managing Director.

Managing the events team including Senior Event Managers, Event Managers and Executives
Conducting weekly 1 to 1's looking at project status, client reports & budgets
Ensuring a training and development programme is in place for each team member
Supervising the quality and standards of work across the events team and their duties
Overseeing delivering including leading on larger events
Developing "top level" relationships with key suppliers
Monitoring & manage event budgets across portfolio ensuring on track to hit target
Working closely with internal teams including creative, design and technical
Producing post event evaluation reports and meet with clients
Attending weekly Interdepartmental project meetings across the portfolio
Working closely with the Creative Director to manage the ongoing events calendar
Deliver high quality levels of customer service
Implementing new ideas for the event portfolio

THE CANDIDATE

The preferred candidate will ideally have a proven background of managing and delivering events (including conferences) gained from working at a senior level within an events, creative or production agency. Candidates must be experienced in contributing ideas to events concepts and pitching for business as well as taking the lead on larger projects. Candidates must be client facing and commercially aware and have strengths in developing relationships. A strong understanding of production and creative (design and digital) would be preferred. Candidates must also have a solid and proven background of managing and developing teams as experience of direct line management is essential.
