THE ROLE
A senior position has now arisen for a Head of Events to come on board and manage both the client relationship and delivery across the year. A broad role responsibilities include:
Account management including being the main point of contact for the client
Developing and strengthening the client relationship
Liaising closely with the client and internal teams, and operations teams to ensure events are run in line with company strategy and objectives
Creating and delivering proposals
Pitching for work when required
Ensuring delivery and process across the team
Leading the delivery of a comprehensive events programme including leading on your own projects
Resource planning and allocation of work
Third party, supplier and venue liaison and negotiation
Working closely with dealer networks, associated companies and additional agencies (including creative design and marketing)
Leading on the large events
Line management and development of a team
Budget management and reconciliation
Onsite management of events
THE CANDIDATE
Candidates must have a solid and proven background of managing accounts and strengths in developing relationships. Agency experience is essential and ideally candidates will have an operational background gained through working within a highly logistical business. Experience of events including outdoor exhibitions and dealer events would be an added benefit as would experience of the automotive sector. Candidates must have particular strengths in creating proposals and attention to detail is a must! Previous experience of managing and leading a team is essential.
