THE ROLE
Due to continued success and ambitious growth plans they are now looking for an experienced Sales Manager to come on board and take responsibility for the co-ordination and leadership of all sales activities, including the management and developed of a team. Reporting directly into the MD responsibilities include:
Managing, motivating and developing a team of sales staff, including setting KPI's and conducting appraisals
Being the main point of contact for key accounts and maximising business within these
Ensuring sales strategies are effective and implemented across the team
Identifying and targeting new business opportunities and driving this through the team
Ensuring sales targets are hit and ideally exceeded
Reviewing processes and procedures to ensure and increase profitability and efficiency
Developing long standing key relationships
Supporting the team with pitch documents and leading on pitches when required
Securing a profitable pipeline of revenue and discussing this in regular board meetings
Understanding key market drivers and trends in the market
Attending industry events to identify opportunities and generate business
THE CANDIDATE
Candidates must have a proven sales background coupled with experience within the events sector. Experience of working within and selling the services of a design and build agency would be ideal but candidates will also be considered from backgrounds including event agencies as well as exhibition organisers. Candidates must have a solid background of pitching for and winning new business, with proven figures to support this. In addition candidates must be comfortable producing and presenting reports at board level. Experience of managing and motivating a sales team is a must.
