London / hybrid - An established events and group travel agency are looking for a Team Leader to join their ever growing team!

THE COMPANY

This fantastic company is an industry leader, having been consistently growing its services, client base and reputation for over 20 years and now employing close to 500 people. They offer a wide range of services including event management, business and group travel, venue finding and event technology across a broad client base with a heavy leaning towards professional services.

Events can range from a VIP meeting in London for 50 delegates, to a high end meeting for 300 or a partner conference for up to 2,000 across the globe! There is now an exciting opportunity to join their team within an Event Manager position.

THE ROLE

As Team Leader, you will report into the Head of Events and be responsible for supporting and driving the ongoing growth of the agency whilst managing the team and a small client portfolio. Key responsibilities will include:

* Line managing a team
* Monitoring and guiding team performance and development
* Conducting recruitment and onboarding processes
* Managing workload and resourcing across the team
* Maintaining and developing a small portfolio of your own clients
* Overseeing quality of delivery across the team including a small number of your own events
* Supporting the Head of Events in relation to business initiatives
* Working to maximise commercial income within the team at all times
* Acting as key point of contact for commercial relationships including suppliers

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for candidates who have proven experience of working at a senior level, ideally from a TMZ or event agency background, however other event sector experience will be considered. Candidates must have strong people management skills with the ability to also manage key client and stakeholder relationships to the benefit of the business. Previous event delivery experience is also key.
