THE ROLE

This business is now looking for a Head of Events to join their team and be responsible for management of the entire event portfolio and the lovely events team!

A broad role, responsibilities will include:

• Deliver, develop, and adapt the events and challenges strategy and portfolio
• Deliver existing portfolio of events, meeting attendance and income targets
• Overall department responsibility and operational management responsibility for portfolio of events
• Line management responsibilities in respect of the Event Manager and two Event Coordinators
• Monitor budgets, sales targets, and ROI for all events
• Work and negotiate with external partners, event companies and third-party organisers
• Secure sponsorship across the full portfolio by recruiting high value sponsors

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have previous event management experience at a senior level, gained from working in a charity, corporate business, association, conference organiser or similar. This role would be perfect for an existing Head of Events who has experience in managing a broad range of events, as well as having some prior charity experience. This person needs to be confident in picking up the phone to potential sponsors, donators, guest's etc. as well as strong event operational management.
