Our client designs and builds temporary structures for events, music festivals, sporting occasions, exhibitions, pop-up installations, advertising, and permanent to semi-permanent spaces. The Role
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join the team. You will serve as the first point of contact for H&S matters, supporting employees and managers while coordinating all aspects of HSEQ across the group. This includes maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, carrying out audits and inspections, and driving continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Global Group Director of HSEQ, the Health & Safety Advisor will help develop and implement initiatives and systems, champion safe working practices, and provide practical guidance to ensure the highest standards of safety are always achieved.
- Ensure all company employees are made aware of the H&S activities through ongoing communications and are kept up to date of their responsibilities under health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Review, analyse and assist with the continual improvement of leading and lagging health and safety performance.
- Act as a focal point for internal advice and guidance.
- Carry out site safety and environmental audits and safety inspections, maintain records of audits and inspections and ensure agreed corrective actions are implemented.
- Arrange and if required carry out incident/accident investigations, supporting local teams through the process.
- Act as a visible champion of operational health and safety.
- Attend regional or local Health and Safety Committees meetings across the group.
- Assist in developing solutions to H&S challenges in the workplace and aid where possible in the implementation of those solutions.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and venues to ensure management and implementation of safety procedures.

- Provide advice to company employees and management on all aspects of H&S matters.
- Preparation and delivery of training programs, along with H&S inductions, SSOW training, etc.
- Encouraging personnel to report incidents and safety concerns along with ensuring personnel are following safety rules and procedures.
- Ensure that any safety issues that cannot be dealt with are passed on to Senior Management for further action.
- Support business managers in ensuring that all risk assessments are completed recorded and regularly reviewed covering all processes and activities where a risk to health and safety exists and all assessments brought to the attention of staff who may be affected.
- Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other reasonable duties as required in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
The Candidate
We’re looking for someone already working as a Health & Safety Advisor, or in a similar role, with:
- Formal HSE qualification (NEBOSH National General or Construction Certificate essential, Environmental Certificate desirable)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a HSEQ team
- Understanding of CDM regulations
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to travel across the UK (and occasionally Europe) with a full, clean driving licence and valid passport
