The Company

With over 30 years of experience, this award-winning company has built a reputation for excellence in cleaning and environmental services at large-scale events. Quality is at the heart of everything they do, and their commitment to exceeding client expectations is second to none.

Due to growing demand and an exciting year ahead, they are now seeking a Project Manager to join their dedicated team as they prepare for a busy summer festival season. You’ll play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of major outdoor events across the UK and Ireland, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.

The Role

Reporting to the COO, the Project Manager will work alongside the operations team on a range of events from the initial proposal stage through concept development, planning, implementation, live event delivery, and post-event analysis.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing events across the UK and Ireland, communicating event needs, overseeing project performance, and providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes. You’ll identify development needs within the team, manage the reciprocal relationship between the organisation and its clients, and take a flexible approach to your role, supporting other team members when required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Event Management: Lead the planning, logistics, and on-site execution of large and medium-scale events
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships; oversee procurement and contracting of third-party suppliers to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Budget Accountability: Take ownership of event budgets, diligently tracking expenditures to ensure optimal value for clients
  • Project Timeline Management: Maintain project timelines and navigate deadlines to meet clients' needs efficiently and effectively
  • Independent Decision-Making: Display autonomy and rapid decision-making abilities to ensure successful project outcomes regardless of time constraints
  • Team Leadership: While reporting to the COO, demonstrate leadership within the operations team, fostering collaboration across projects
  • On-Site Delivery: Oversee on-site operations during live events, coordinating teams and logistics to ensure smooth delivery
  • Post-Event Analysis: Review project performance, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

The Candidate

To perform successfully in this Project Manager role, you must demonstrate a high level of competence and independence across the following areas:

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in a similar project or event management role
  • Third-level degree ideally in a related field, or alternatively an accredited certification or diploma in events
  • Proven success in executing and managing events of various scale and complexity
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience managing budgets, suppliers, and client communications
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel for on-site delivery during festival season
  • A proactive, hands-on, and collaborative approach to teamwork

In return they offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to combine remote working flexibility with hands-on experience at some of the UK and Ireland’s most exciting live events all while joining a trusted, forward-thinking organisation with a brilliant reputation.
