The role
As a Project Manager (Event Director) of shows you will be taking the lead of the planning, implementation and operation of the events and shows.
- Leading the planning of large scale shows from an operation and logistical perspective
- Preparing project timelines and managing resourcing
- Coordinating large teams of external contractors
- Working with various internal departments
- Organising the build of temporary infrastructure
- Driving key stakeholder liaison with the likes of councils, blue light services, licensing authorities, etc.
- Implementing all health & safety process and leading SAG meetings
- Overseeing the operational, logistical and build/de-rig process onsite
- Planning and reviewing budgets
- Managing the Deputy Operations Manager
The candidate
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced event professional with a background of evet operations management on large scale outdoor and indoor events. Experience of managing complex builds, having exemplary Health & Safety knowledge and managing a range of 3rd party contractors/stakeholders is a must. Any experience in people management would be beneficial.

The Role
As Head of Events this role spans team management and hands on event producing across a broad portfolio of projects. Responsibilities include:
- Managing incoming enquires and interpreting briefs
- Event design, theming & mood-boarding
- Developing creative responses to briefs and preparing proposals to pitch
- Coordinating suppliers including catering, florists, etc.
- Advising on technical solutions and working closely with the warehouse team
- Managing the install and delivery of events onsite
- Financial management and budget sign off responsibilities
- Formal line management and development of a team
- Internal process development and implementation to ensure quality control of delivery
The Candidate
We are looking for candidates in an established senior level role ideally from within an event or production agency. Candidates must have experience managing a team and the overall output of an event department. Individuals must have a proven ability to handle clients, convert a brief enquiry into a confirmed project and to manage the event from concept development phase through to onsite install. We are also looking for candidates who have some understanding of AV and technical event elements.

The Role
There is now a fantastic opportunity to join the team and take the lead in the planning and delivery of one of their main festivals! Reporting directly into the CEO, you will play an instrumental role in driving key initiatives and strategic projects.
As the day-to-day festival lead, you'll coordinate, via the department heads across production and operations, marketing, music and content, food, bars and trade, ensuring cohesive cross functional delivery with a focus on driving the commercial result and delivering exceptional audience experiences!
As a key leader within the business, you will foster a culture of strategic and commercial thinking, encouraging growth and effective communication across teams.
Key duties will include the leadership and delivery of key initiatives and strategic projects, financial management and performance improvement and festival curation, operations and organisation, as well as:
Working with the CEO to develop long term strategic business plans
Strategic guidance of events
Lead the event management team
Management of negotiations, decisions and relationships for the events
Developing business development strategies
Idea and concept creation to ensuring events are creative, innovative and engaging
Management of key stakeholder relationships, including brand partners
Report on operational performance and suggest improvements
Drive efficiencies to improve performance
Large scale budget management including P&L management
The Candidate
The role requires a strategic thinker with a flair for creativity and innovation. You will have extensive knowledge of producing festivals and the key components including finance, commercial rights and partnerships, marketing, creative, production, site management, administration and coordination.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in event management, with leadership track-record in delivering major events (festivals or greenfield music sites).

THE COMPANY

Working across a range of unusually complex and technologically savvy events and installations this exciting agency works with some of the world's biggest brands. With their own in house creative, onsite workshop and team of production specialists they work directly with international clients and events agencies, taking each project from creative concept through to onsite delivery and build. Having invested heavily over recent years in their stock of AV equipment they are now looking to build on their service to enter the AV hire market. In addition to offering this extra service, the in-house technical expertise will allow them to be more ambitious with their existing installation projects!
THE ROLE
This role will involve taking ownership for the setup and running of their AV hire arm of the company from the ground up. With support from the existing team, the role is broad and will involve responsibilities such as:
- Setting up processes internally
- Seeking out and establishing new client wins
- Building up a technical team in line with the growth of the business
- Working closely with the existing team in relation to AV requirements in build projects
- Implementing health & safety practices across the team
- Keeping up to date with new trends in equipment
- Managing budgeting and investment into new equipment
- Ensuring all equipment is tested and prepped efficiently
- Leading the technical delivery of projects
- Working closely with clients
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for candidates with a solid technical knowledge gained from a position within the events sector - ideally from within a technical supply company. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and entrepreneurial, looking to further their career with the backing of an existing organisation. Candidates do not need to have previous experience managing a team or technical department but must be eager to take on this challenge and willing to dedicate themselves to the development of the department.
