CAD DESIGNER / TECHNICIAN – EVENTS & EXHIBITION DESIGN

LUTON – 5 DAYS ONSITE

£38,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

THE COMPANY:

This agency specialise in events and exhibition design crafting bespoke spaces from high-impact exhibition stands and showrooms to retail environments and branded installations.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a close-knit, collaborative production team that delivers exceptional quality for major clients across the UK and beyond.

They handle everything from concept to installation: design, manufacture and on-site execution.

THE ROLE:

You’ll play a key part in turning design ideas into reality — producing detailed CAD drawings for manufacture, collaborating with designers, and supporting the production process from concept through to build.

This role sits within the Production Department, working closely with Project Managers and senior leadership to ensure every element is precise, achievable, and beautifully executed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Produce accurate floorplans, graphic elevations, and build instructions for bespoke and modular exhibition stands
  • Create detailed technical drawings for clients, project managers, and stand builders
  • Assist with material orders and scheduling of specialist stand elements
  • Communicate effectively with design, production, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery

THE CANDIDATE:

To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience working in exhibitions, joinery, live events or carpentry. They are very open on software but this CAD Designer role will be both 2D and 3D so you must have experience on producing high quality drawings.

You will need experience of turning design ideas into reality by producing detailed CAD drawings for manufacture, collaborating with designers, and supporting the production process from concept through to build.
