Are you a technically minded Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced events environment? Do you want to join a creative, collaborative production team delivering high-quality technical solutions across live and virtual events?

40-hour week (spread across 4 or 5 days)

Excellent work/life balance

Collaborative and supportive team culture

Strong opportunities for growth and progression

The Company

This well-established event production company is recognised for delivering innovative and seamless technical solutions across live, hybrid, and digital events. With decades of experience in event, installation, and film production, the business is built on a reputation for technical excellence, reliability, and creativity.

You'll be joining a passionate and close-knit team that values collaboration, personal development, and work/life balance. The environment encourages curiosity, ownership, and growth - many of our best people have developed through our in-house training and mentoring programmes.

The Role

As Technical Project Manager, you'll manage a diverse range of live event projects, from initial client brief through to on-site delivery and post-event follow-up. Working alongside a talented team of Project Managers, you'll take ownership of multiple projects varying in scale, complexity, and lead time - all aligned to your skills and ambitions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Client liaison and management

Leading client discussions from brief to delivery

Preparing specifications and agreeing budgets

Acting as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams

Technical production

Translating briefs into detailed technical specifications and quotes

Selecting appropriate equipment from stock or sourcing externally where needed

Managing audio, visual, lighting, rigging, and IT systems for events

Overseeing logistics, including crew booking, scheduling, and site coordination

You'll play an active role in supporting the creative aspects of each project, ensuring that the technical delivery aligns seamlessly with the client's vision. This includes managing requirements such as design, print, and build, and working closely with designers, production staff, and other internal teams to bring creative concepts to life in a practical and technically sound way.

You'll oversee the full event delivery process, managing all on-site activity during rig, live operation, and de-rig. Acting as the main point of contact on-site, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest standard. After each event, you'll lead post-event reviews, gathering feedback to support continuous improvement and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage future bookings and referrals.

The Candidate

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager with hands-on experience in event production and a solid understanding of AV technologies. You'll be confident liaising with clients, managing budgets, and leading technical teams to deliver exceptional results.

Ideal skills and attributes include:

Strong understanding of audio, video, lighting, and rigging systems

Experience turning briefs into quotes and technical plans

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable under pressure

A customer-focused mindset with commercial awareness

Full UK driving licence (required)

Flexibility to travel and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on event schedules.

What You'll Get

Competitive salary and overtime opportunities

28 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Company pension scheme

Health and wellbeing support via Employee Assistance Programme

Ongoing professional development and training
