The Role
Due to continued business growth and demand there is now a need for a Business Development Manager to come on board and help drive forward the sale of the versatile space! A broad role, responsibilities include:
The Candidate
The ideal Business Development Manager candidate will come with a proven background of strengthening and developing relationships within the MICE sector (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions). A commercial mindset is key and ideally candidates will have worked as a Business Development Manager / Account Manager / Client Relationship Manager previously. Venue or hotel backgrounds would be ideal but other backgrounds will be considered provided candidates are able to demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities and develop business. Strong stakeholder management (both internal and external) is essential.

Remote working – 2 days p/week or remote – This is a fantastic boutique events agency with a specialist remit within the healthcare sector is looking for an Event Project Manager to join their close knit team, supporting with the delivery of a wide range of pharmaceutical events across the globe!

The Role
Due to increased business and continued growth they are now looking to expand their team in West Yorkshire. As an Event Manager you will work across the mix of predominantly pharma clients, delivering events end to end as follows:
• Brief taking and client meetings within the healthcare sector
• Proposal research and writing
• Venue finding and attending site visits
• Securing contracts with venues and suppliers
• Managing full logistics including travel and accommodation booking
• Working with healthcare proffesionals (doctors, nurses, researches)
• Managing 3rd party suppliers and DMCs
• Attending events on-site as the lead Event Manager
• Responsible for budgets and final reconciliation
The Candidate
The ideal Event Manager will come from a similar background and must have experience of delivering some pharmaceutical events, ideally within an agency with up to date training on the ABPI and other country’s healthcare compliance. If you are an Event Manager, working on a mix of different clients, or have delivered pharma events in a previous role we will also consider your application – most important is the desire to work on multiple projects end to end as well as a real hands on approach.
