THE COMPANY

This creative technical production company are currently in an exciting phase of growth and expansion. They’ve recently moved into a brand-new warehouse, invested heavily in new equipment, and are building our in-house projects team across all disciplines.

They work with a wide range of clients, delivering everything from festivals and exhibitions to ice rinks and award shows. Their portfolio is as diverse as it is dynamic, and they’re passionate about producing exceptional live event experiences.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an Event Production Engineerto join their talented team. This is a hybrid role, combining office, warehouse, and on-site work, with varied responsibilities that will keep you on your toes.

As an Event Production Engineer, you'll be responsible for prepping, operating, and de-rigging technical equipment for live events, ensuring every project runs seamlessly. You'll collaborate with other engineers and crew, occasionally taking the lead on smaller projects or supporting larger ones in both technical and operational capacities.

When not on-site, you'll contribute to warehouse and office tasks, including equipment preparation and maintenance, design and patch plans, and logistics such as deliveries and collections. This position will suit someone proactive, adaptable, and eager to get involved in all aspects of a growing company's workload.

You will need to be passionate about live events and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and longer hours when required (with appropriate notice). Overtime is paid at an enhanced rate, with flexibility to buy back time if approved.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Event Production Engineer will have:

  • Expertise in either Lighting, Sound, or Video
  • Hands-on experience operating at live events
  • Strong basic electrical knowledge and good IT skills
  • The ability to work confidently at height and carry out manual handling tasks
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the initiative to work independently when needed
  • A proven ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • A customer-focused mindset, aiming to exceed client expectations
  • A full UK Driving Licence

Our client is open to graduates who are looking to start a career with an agency following University
