This independent events agency is renowned for delivering impactful production, technical support, set build and creative design services to a broad range of clients. Amongst their production capabilities this events agency also offers video, digital and further design services to their well-established client base.

Working with a mixture of end clients and agencies the events that they deliver are broad and range from small conferences to a full production of an awards ceremony for 2000 guests, to multi-location road shows and experiential events, working both in the UK and Internationally.  With a growing client base and a passionate team there has never been a better time for a Head of Technical Events to come on board.

The Role

Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Head of Technical Events to join their growing events team. Responsible for both the technical team and in house equipment, this role will be varied and fast paced and will require an excellent understanding of what it takes to ensure the successful technical delivery of events

This is a broad role where the Head of Technical Events will get involved in:

-          Play a lead role within the technical production department

-          Oversee the technical delivery of all events

-          Introducing new ideas into the team / department

-          Creating and implementing strategy within the department

-          Championing high levels of customer service and production quality

-          Managing, developing and nurturing a team

-          Ensuring that all processes, procedures and policies are adhered to

-          Driving innovation in equipment and investing in technical kit

-          Driving best proactive and process across the department

-          Managing departmental budget 

-          Being involved in the strategy and planning for the future of the technical department

-          On-site project management, including overseeing stand installation and break dow[JW1.1]n

The Candidate

Candidates should ideally be working in a similar role as a Head of Technical Events for either an event production agency, venue or an AV supplier.

We are looking for candidates that have proven senior technical management experience from within the live events, conferencing or large-scale venue sectors. 

Most importantly we are looking for an ambitious Head of Technical Events with a willingness to learn and develop within this fantastic organisation[JW2.1]!
