THE ROLE
 

They are now seeking an experienced Technical Director to take overall responsibility for the technical strategy and delivery of a wide portfolio of complex events. This senior role requires a Technical Director who can drive innovation, shape solutions, and oversee seamless execution across the agency’s most high-profile client programmes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and leading the agency’s technical strategy and solutions across all projects
  • Shaping the briefing process and defining core technical deliverables
  • Ensuring seamless end-to-end technical delivery across global projects
  • Working closely with creative, account, and production teams to align technical and creative vision
  • Managing and nurturing relationships with key suppliers
  • Managing stakeholders at all levels, both internal and client-side
  • Overseeing Health & Safety compliance across all technical delivery
  • Leading, developing and mentoring a technical team
  • Providing onsite leadership when required
  • Managing project budgets and technical costings 

THE CANDIDATE

The successful Technical Director will bring a proven background in delivering complex technical solutions across large-scale events, ideally gained within a production agency or technical supply company. You will be a confident communicator with exceptional client-facing abilities, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and working collaboratively across departments. You must be passionate about innovation, up-to-date with emerging technologies, and able to identify how these can enhance live experiences. Strong supplier management skills, broad AV knowledge, and a solid understanding of current H&S regulations are essential. Experience mentoring or managing technical teams will be highly beneficial. This role is ideal for a Technical Director who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and has a genuine passion for delivering world-class technical execution.
