THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has opened for an Events Technical Specialist – Audio to take ownership of audio planning, show engineering and on‑site delivery for projects of all scales. This is a practical, client‑facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, confidence leading crews and a passion for delivering flawless results.
You’ll be responsible for designing PA systems, preparing technical documentation, engineering shows using top‑tier consoles, and supporting project teams throughout pre‑production and on‑site operations. Travel across the UK and EMEA is a core part of the role.
Key responsibilities as Events Technical Specialist – Audio include:
- Designing, specifying and preparing audio systems using Vectorworks and ArrayCalc.
- Engineering shows with Yamaha, DiGiCo and Allen & Heath consoles.
- Building and tuning PA systems including D&B, L‑Acoustics and Martin Audio.
- Managing RF (Shure/Sennheiser) and wired/wireless comms (Green‑Go, Clear‑Com, RTS).
- Leading technicians on site, supervising installs, rehearsals and show calls.
- Producing patch sheets, signal flows and equipment lists for project teams.
- Ensuring best‑practice health & safety and secure handling of all equipment.
THE CANDIDATE
This role is perfect for a technically strong and solutions‑driven Events Technical Specialist – Audio with 4+ years’ experience in live event audio. You’ll be confident working across high‑pressure environments, skilled with major console brands, knowledgeable in PA system setup and tuning, and comfortable representing the technical team directly with clients and venues.
You’ll be proactive, calm under pressure, able to supervise others on site and motivated to continually develop your technical capabilities. A customer‑service mindset and willingness to travel across the UK and EMEA are essential.
